The Dr. Faye Borja Bayanihan Counseling & Psychology Scholarship

On behalf of the G.O. Foundation, Inc. (Greater Odds Foundation), this biannual scholarship is geared towards funding the endeavors of POC desiring to become a mental health professional. The scholarship will pay for fees towards licensure (supervision sessions, licensure application, etc.), study materials, or application fees for pursuit of higher education. Counseling or research interests must specify services or study in the areas of multi-cultural counseling with knowledge of second-generation immigrants.

Amount: $500 (awarded to one applicant biannually)

Application Deadline: June 27, 2023 (winner announced August 1, 2023).

Requirements:

-       Must be a Georgia resident

-       Must be an LAPC for at least 3 months (provide license number); OR in supervision at least 1 year.

-       Provide the course number and/or syllabus from a previously completed academic course including or pertaining to Multi-cultural Counseling

-       Answer three essay questions, providing answers of at least 300 (no greater than 500) words for each question. These three essay questions will be emailed to you upon completing the following application:
